Now there are so many more choices than Apple needed to step up its game with these second-gen buds.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><p>Fortunately, it has\u2014and done so in some key areas where I think these might just be even better than Apple\u2019s wired Earpods. Overall, these are some of my favorite earbuds I\u2019ve used, and I\u2019d say they\u2019re worth it.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><div class='\"wp-block-buttons' is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-5 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex>\n<div class='\"wp-block-button\"'><a class='\"wp-block-button__link' has-vivid-red-background-color has-background href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/amzn.to%5C/3ugzkjI%5C%22" style='\"border-radius:0px\"' target='\"_blank\"' rel='\"noreferrer' noopener>buy now at discounted price\n\n\n\n\n<p>The audio quality is great (especially for such small headphones), and that feature where you double-tap to control music playback without having to take your phone out of your pocket is just so convenient!\n\n\n\n</p><h3 class='\"wp-block-heading\"'><span class='\"ez-toc-section\"' id='\"Battery_Life\"'>Battery Life<span class='\"ez-toc-section-end\"'>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple claims that its new Airpods 2nd Generation will last for five hours before they need to be recharged. In my testing, I got closer to six or seven hours of battery life\u2014which is very solid.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><p>Apple\u2019s first-generation AirPods were rated at 5 hours, but I always struggled to get more than four and a half out of them. Assuming Apple&rsquo;s estimates are correct, it means a 20 percent improvement in battery life over their predecessors.\n\n\n\n</p><p>They come with a wireless charging case which can give you another 24 hours of listening time if you\u2019re willing to stick it on a wireless charger.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><p>It takes about two hours to get that same 24 hours of battery life. You can still use them while they\u2019re in their case, but they won\u2019t be as portable and easy to carry around as when they are just in your ears.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><p>Apple includes an audio cable with a USB-C connector that lets you charge your Airpods and listen at the same time. It works fine but does make for more wires in an already cluttered space if you\u2019re also carrying a phone or tablet around.\n\n\n\n</p><h3 class='\"wp-block-heading\"'><span class='\"ez-toc-section\"' id='\"Final_Words\"'>Final Words<span class='\"ez-toc-section-end\"'>\n\n\n\n<p>After two full weeks of using Apple\u2019s second-generation AirPods, I find them to be almost perfect. I\u2019ve never found a wireless headphone that suits me better.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><p>Sure, they are<a href="%5C%22https:%5C/%5C/amzn.to%5C/3ugzkjI%5C%22" target='\"_blank\"' data-type='\"URL\"' data-id='\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3ugzkjI\"' rel='\"noreferrer' noopener nofollow> cheap at $119 and battery life is still okay, but if you value convenience above all else and don\u2019t mind a little extra bulk in your ears\u2014and an extra $40 on your credit card\u2014you should probably just buy these right now.\u00a0\n\n\n\n<p>They work perfectly with your iPhone or iPad (iOS 12 required) but shine with the new macOS Mojave software\u2014especially for controlling audio playback when your computer is locked. And did I mention how good they look?\n\n\n\n</p><p>The best thing about Apple\u2019s AirPods 2nd generation was their convenience, and these are even better.
