That said, there is no SD card slot or CD drive, which may be a deal-breaker for some people; however, it should be noted that most people don\u2019t use CDs anymore (as you can download music directly) and if you do need a lot of space for photos then an external hard drive will work just as well.\n\n\n\n</p><h3 class='\"wp-block-heading\"'><span class='\"ez-toc-section\"' id='\"Display\"'>Display&nbsp;<span class='\"ez-toc-section-end\"'>\n\n\n\n<p>The display on Samsung\u2019s new Galaxy model is also very good, and there\u2019s a touch screen for added convenience. It uses Super AMOLED technology, which has been hugely popular in other models from Samsung. The Super AMOLED technology provides vibrant color and crisp text quality, as well as excellent visibility even under direct sunlight.\n\n\n\n</p><p>It does tend to be pricier than traditional LCDs but can definitely make a difference in terms of the overall viewing experience. There\u2019s also an HDMI port so you can easily plug it into your larger television screen, which is a nice option that many laptops don\u2019t have at all these days.\n\n\n\n</p><p>The Samsung model comes with a backlit keyboard, which makes it easier to type in dim lighting conditions.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><p>It also comes with Google\u2019s Chrome operating system, which is really great for anyone who needs a simple and fast laptop for both work and plays. It is generally very easy to use, although if you want additional features like an SD card slot or better sound quality you might want to look into other models on the market.\u00a0\n\n\n\n</p><p>The screen resolution of Samsung\u2019s new model is a 2560 x 1600px resolution TFT touchscreen that can move around all the way. Else, which isn\u2019t quite as high as some newer models but should still provide a nice viewing experience overall.\n\n\n\n</p><p>While there are higher resolutions available these days, they do come at a price premium so may not be worth it unless you have specific needs that need to be met. The 5-megapixel camera on the front is not great either, but you can use it as a webcam if you want to. For selfies and video chatting, it will do just fine.\n\n\n\n</p><p>Samsung made some significant improvements to its keyboard when compared to its predecessor. There are now dedicated keys for back, forward, and refresh full-screen mode and brightness controls. The keyboard is also slightly wider than before, which makes typing more comfortable. If you\u2019re looking for fast charging capabilities, look into options such as Power Delivery. You won\u2019t find that here but it does charge at up to 18W compared to other chargers which usually fall within 10W-12W.&nbsp;\n\n\n\n</p><p>As far as standby time goes, Samsung claims 12 days. In my tests, I was able to go almost three weeks without having to charge it again. This is something all users will appreciate because who wants to carry their charger everywhere they go?
